A two day Dutch Education and Career Fair was officially opened by the Dutch Ambassador Ron Strikker and Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum on Wednesday 7th June, and came to a close on Thursday 8th June.

The fair brought together companies from the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC) network and universities from the Netherlands, to recruit students for study programs and to advice on career planning and opportunities. With close to one thousand visitors, the fair was a great success!

The institutes and universities that were present at the fair were University of Leiden, UNESCO-IHE, University of Groningen, International Institute of Social Studies, Wageningen University, Maastricht School of Management, PTC+, IHS and Holland International Studies Centre.

These institutions got the opportunity to interact with over hundreds of students and graduates that turned up, and to inform them about opportunities for studying in the Netherlands.

On the second day, companies that were present took turns to interact with students during a workshop on “How to become successful in the job market”. The companies present were GNBCC members IOI Loders Croklaan, Vivo Energy, Max Mart/Kwatsons, Access Bank, Ntrakwah & Co and People’s Pension Trust.
