Glasses for Ghana

Please help by donating your unnecessary or older glasses to children in Ghana. They can make them happy and greatly help those who truly need such support.

We prepared collection points where you can leave unused glasses. They are available at the branches of our partner Eyes Optik, where professional opticians refurbish the glasses for further use. With the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra, the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Prague and Humanitas Afrika, the project can help people in difficult life situations.

News

The CGCC organized the collection of glasses for children in Ghana for the first year. By December 2019 the project had collected 327 glasses, 241 new lenses, 64 cases and many other items awaiting inspection, repair and cleaning at Eyes Optik.

We thank everyone who participated in the collection, especially Eyes Optik and its full working team, together with the Czech Embassy in Accra and the Ghana Embassy in Prague for their support and supervision of the selection of nursery and school partners in Ghana.

The collection “Glasses for Ghana” is still ongoing.
